Free Short Films Day at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art

Venue: BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art
Dates: Saturday 27th March
Time: 10am-6pm

There are three fantastic NLFF programmes of short films curated or created for the festival running all day at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Screenings are free and open to all.  Includes shorts selected by Maureen from a huge open submission of short films to NLFF. Expect the unexpected!

Programmes include:

Culture Shock – User-generated shorts
Maureen Submissions – Selected & judged by Maureen herself

Maureen isn’t a professional film programmer or judge but she knows what she likes.  She got involved in film when a 21 year old award winning local film maker (Tom Marshall) made a documentary about her street.  He’s been pestering her ever since to do more. We liked her honesty and confidence and we have asked her to trawl through a huge submission of new short films to let us know what she thinks of this years up and coming film makers.Don’t miss Maureen’s shorts.
