Pick of the Fest;
First Movie with guest Mark Cousins
I am a big fan of Marks touring cinema programme and the philosophy behind it so when I found out he had been out in Iraq showing young people inspiring films and that he had made a film I was intrigued. The more I hear about the project and the range of work he has done the more I am fascinated. I cant wait to see the film and meet Mark. What kind of person manages to follow as many of their dreams as he seems to have done? I hope this is the beginning of a magical relationship between Mark and the region.

The Raymond Scott Experience
The sound of Raymond Scott screams mischief making to me. And its not just because its the end of the festival. That’s all folks!

Pick of the Fest;
Colin with guest Marc Price
I am most excited about having the film Colin at this year’s festival as it is a great piece of conventional rule-breaking which shows that large budgets are no longer required to make a gripping story in a digital age, and I am interested to hear about Marc’s recent distribution deals, and how he has responded to Colin’s success.
