2008 Script Awards

The 2008 Script Development Package INFO
NLFF searched for the most original feature film ideas from the hottest new screenwriting talent in the UK. Deola Folarin received the award for "concrete cat" which is currently being developed with support from Kate Leys
The development package offered a chance to work with a professional UK-based script consultant to develop the writer’s original treatment into a feature length screenplay.
The script will be sent to a professional distributor and national exhibitor for comment, before being submitted to North East based production companies for consideration.
The package does not include a fee for the writer/s time but does offer limited funds to cover travel and accommodation costs incurred during the consultation period.
The Script Development Award was an NLFF Award, facilitated by The Story Engine.
