Northern Stars Young Filmmaker Academy Launched for 2009

Always a highlight at NLFF are the short films of the students of the Northern Stars Young Filmmakers Academy Ian Fenton, helming this year's project, has just started work with the latest cohort:
"In our first session the group were challenged to make a series of short films in less than three hours - the point being to see what they could achieve working instinctively off their own wits. The results were a real eye-opener and revealed just how much raw talent we've got on our hands. The challenge now is to take that talent and enthusiasm and channel it into developing the filmmakers and the graduation films they'll make later in the Academy."
