Northern Lights Film Festival: Artistic Director

Northern Lights Film Festival is seeking a new Artistic Director to lead it into the next exciting phase of its development.

After four years, and with its previous director moving on to a new role at UK Film Council, NLFF is at an exciting crossroads in its evolution.

From it’s beginnings in 2003 NLFF has enjoyed remarkable success across its wide range of activities; from championing work from northern Europe in the UK, to making internationally award winning shorts, to sparking debate and launching careers at its industry summits.

To ensure NLFF realises its full potential we now wish to appoint an artistic leader who can re-imagine the festival, engage with the seismic shifts in production, distribution and exhibition that are being felt throughout the industry and grow NLFF into one of Europe’s most vibrant film events by 2010.

This is an unique opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to put their personal stamp on a film festival.

We will be recruiting for this post in the New Year, but if you would like to register your interest in advance, please let us know by writing to Mark Dobson and Patrick Collerton at Northern Lights Film Festival, Old Town Hall, West Street, Gateshead NE8 1HE and we will be in touch.
