The final part of Danish director Per Fly’s outstanding trilogy on Danish society (The Bench looked at lower class, and Inheritance upper class), this is the riveting tale of Carsten, a 50-year-old high school teacher who’s having an affair with Pil, a former student of his and left-wing political activist.

When Pil is involved in a political demo that results in the death of a policeman, Carsten’s neat, structured life soon starts to spin out of control.
