MIDDLESBROUGH SYMPOSIUM The University of Teesside Middlesbrough Symposium will explore the practice of storytelling and will look at how you tell a story with images in this unique experience for schools, colleges and universities. Emmy Award winner Patrick Collerton and animator Chris Shepherd will appear in conversation with Gerda Roper, Dean of the School of Arts and Media. EVENTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE This year Northern Lights Film Festival launched the Northern Stars, a unique Film Academy for 14-18 year olds. The academy will provide exciting production and training opportunities provided by a team of professionals from the industry. Twenty budding film makers were selected from over seventy hopefuls and we will be screening their first films, inspired by the magical tales of Hans Christian Andersen as part of the Opening Gala Event this year.
