During last years festival six short films were made as part of a UK/Estonian production challenge. This year we will be back filming in Gateshead (see Time For Bed) and we are also hosting our first network Summit for European and regional producers, directors, funders, distributors and exhibitors to discuss some of the issues around the making of feature films in Northern Europe today.
We also host the first visits to the region by the highly acclaimed Script Factory, present a showcase of the work of the Shooting People network with FNA Films and launch Short Change?, a session for filmmakers and students to debate the making of and the purpose of short films.
